According to popular legend, it was given its name, Santa Maria del Pi, after an image of the Virgin was discovered in the trunk of a pine tree.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pla\u00e7a Sant Jaume:<\/strong> One of the oldest and most emblematic squares in Barcelona.
